Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Assistant to join our busy cardiologist office in  Brandon Florida. As a Medical Assistant/Triage Navigator, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with a team of highly experienced cardiologists and make a positive impact on the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Escort patients to examination rooms and obtain their medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records.
  • Educate patients on cardiovascular health, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
  • Assist with the coordination of patient care, including referrals to other healthcare providers and scheduling diagnostic tests.
  • Adhere to all medical protocols, privacy regulations, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Continuously update knowledge and skills through participation in professional development activities.
  • Preferred Spanish Bi-lingual

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant training program is preferred.
  • Current certification as a Medical Assistant.
  • Previous experience working in a cardiology or internal medicine setting is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, if required
