As a Medical Assistant/Triage Navigator, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our office. Responsibilities:
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Escort patients to examination rooms and obtain their medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information.
- Perform routine administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records.
- Educate patients on cardiovascular health, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
- Assist with the coordination of patient care, including referrals to other healthcare providers and scheduling diagnostic tests.
- Adhere to all medical protocols, privacy regulations, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through participation in professional development activities.
- Preferred Spanish Bi-lingual
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant training program is preferred.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant.
- Previous experience working in a cardiology or internal medicine setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends, if required
- Spanish Speaking a Plus
