Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – Interventional Pain & Spine Specialist
Position Overview
Are you an ambitious Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a passion for hands-on, procedure-focused care? Our premier interventional pain management practice is seeking a dynamic, procedurally minded Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join our multidisciplinary team.
This is not a passive medication management role. You will function at the top of your license, focusing heavily on advanced diagnostics, pre- and post-procedural care, and performing autonomous, minimally invasive, image-guided interventions to restore function and improve our patients' quality of life. We provide a collaborative, state-of-the-art environment with built-in mentorship and cutting-edge fluoroscopic and ultrasound technology.
Core Procedural Responsibilities
- Perform Autonomous Interventions: Conduct low-to-moderate acuity interventional procedures independently or under supervision, including trigger point injections (TPI), large and small joint injections, bursa injections, and peripheral nerve blocks.
- Utilize Advanced Imaging: Operate and interpret ultrasound-guided technology for precise point-of-care needle placement and diagnostic accuracy.
- Surgical & Advanced Procedure Assistance: Assist interventional physicians in complex fluoroscopic cases, including epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablations (RFA), and spinal cord stimulator (SCS) trials/implants.
- Neuromodulation Management: Conduct patient selection, pre-operative planning, and post-operative programming for spinal cord stimulators and intrathecal pumps.
- Comprehensive Diagnostics: Conduct targeted orthopedic and neurological physical exams, ordering and interpreting advanced imaging (MRIs, CT scans, X-rays) to determine precise procedural targets.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Patient Optimization: Manage pre-operative evaluations to medically clear and educationally prepare patients for upcoming spinal and joint interventions.
- Continuum of Care: Oversee post-procedure follow-ups to evaluate treatment efficacy, manage recovery, and adjust functional rehabilitation plans.
- Multimodal Treatment Planning: Develop comprehensive care paths integrating physical therapy, regenerative medicine, and non-opioid pharmacological strategies.
- Compliance & Advocacy: Maintain precise electronic medical record (EMR) documentation in accordance with strict state and DEA regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or
Physician Assistant (PA-C). - Credentials: Valid DEA registration with controlled substance prescriptive authority.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in Interventional Pain, Orthopedics, Neurology, or PM&R preferred, but highly motivated new graduates with strong surgical/procedural rotations will be considered.
- Traits: Exceptional manual dexterity, visual-spatial awareness for needle placement, and a compassionate bedside manner.
